On Sept 13, at 7:30 PM till 9:00 pm, at Holy Trinity Parish Center, there will be a presentation on current conditions in Nicaragua. Maria Eugenia Degadillo, a Catholic Nicaraguan woman and director of AXAYACATAL, a Domestic Violence program in Nicaragua, will talk about various humanitarian programs and the current political unrest in Nicaragua. She will discuss ways we can help the people of Nicaragua. Currently massive protests are taking place against the government. The Catholic Church has taken a stand with the protesters. We think this is a unique opportunity to get a first-hand account of the current situation in Nicaragua from a Catholic perspective.
