Kate is the author of Dorothy Day: The World Will Be Saved by Beauty: An Intimate Portrait of My Grandmother. This book was recently awarded with The Christopher Award, an award presented to writers of books which "affirm the highest values of the human spirit." Kate has travelled the world including teaching English as a second language in Guatemala and to Tibetan refugees in India. This will be an amazing opportunity to hear from Dorothy Day's granddaughter stories of her courageous work with social justice and The Catholic Worker movement.
