Denis Johnston is a co founder and Board President of PeaceWorks, a New Jersey not for profit organization established in 1990.  PeaceWorks' mission is to support grassroots community organizations in Nicaragua as they work to overcome a history of poverty, violence against women and environmental destruction. PeaceWorks is a volunteer led organization that collects and sends humanitarian aid supplies in twice yearly shipments in the Spring and Fall, sponsors an annual delegation to Nicaragua each January and raises over $100,000 annually to support community development projects and service programs with Nicaragua's most marginalized communities.
